Project Manager / Producer

US: We run a tight production environment filled with people who like to multitask and who live to get things done. We look for opportunities to innovate and focus on satisfying our clients. The right kind of ego is important. The ability to collaborate and to respect the team and client(s) is even more important. You have to be articulate, worship the web, have a sense of humor and love what you do.

YOU: iFactory seeks senior Project Manager/Producer for web based solutions, leading engineers, designers and HTML production personnel on standard marketing web sites, data management solutions and XML based publishing applications.

Position requires:

  • 3 to 5 years of demonstrable web project management experience
  • strong requirements gathering and pricing capabilities
  • experience with leading development management processes
  • budget and schedule management experience
  • the ability to define multi-track project plans
  • strong knowledge of stress, regression, functional testing, documentation and QA standards

Successful candidates will have managed six figure budgets integrating data from a variety of sources and platforms for web based input, display, search and reporting, and will have experience defining user requirements, use-case scenarios, storyboards and navigational prototypes prior to actual development.

Front-End Web Developer/Engineer

We are looking for a talented front-end web developer to join us.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Translate design mockups into (X)HTML/HTML5 pages.
  • Update and maintain websites for a number of our clients.

Required skills:

  • Knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript, and modern website layout/interface techniques.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and image optimization for web.
  • Able to hand code in a non-WYSIWYG environment.
  • Able to code CSS/(X)HTML which validates against current Web Standards.
  • Able to code to meet various levels of accessibility compliance (i.e. 508, WAI Priority 1 & 2).
  • Understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform issues.
  • Experience with jQuery, Prototype, or other UI JavaScript libraries.
  • Experience coding within SVN source-controlled environments. Experience with Eclipse is a plus.
  • Comfortably navigate Java development environments, including Java-driven HTML template frameworks (such as Tapestry), and XSL-to-HTML translations.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with PHP, Ruby, AJAX, or any other fashionable acronyms.
  • Experience with mobile development and HTML5 technologies.
  • Previous experience working in an agency with multiple clients/projects preferred.

Interactive Designer

If you have a strong online design portfolio, a passion for information architecture and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty in HTML and CSS code, we want to meet you.

At iFactory, you will join a team of talented experts in web design, development and project management. You will work on projects for clients across a variety of industries including publishing, higher education, non-profit and healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Develop site architectures—including sitemaps, wireframes, storyboards and/or HTML prototypes as needed
  • Develop the look-and-feel and overall visual design of projects - create mockups in Photoshop
  • Translate design mockups to HTML-coded pages
  • Work effectively with project managers to meet expectations on time and on budget

Skills

  • Strong concept development and graphic design ability
  • Excellent understanding of composition, color, imagery and typography
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and image optimization for the web
  • Strong Knowledge of CSS, XHTML, current W3C Web Standards and Accessibility guidelines (WAI, 508, etc.) and cross-platform browser issues
  • Ability to hand-code HTML in a non-WYSIWYG environment a plus
  • Excellent understanding of usability issues. Experience with user testing a plus
  • Comfortable interacting directly with clients. Able to articulate and present ideas, and respond to feedback
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Education and Experience

  • BFA in Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent job experience
  • 3+ years experience as an interactive designer or information architect, preferably in an interactive agency environment

Information Architect / User Experience Designer

If you have a passion for information architecture, and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty creating interactive prototypes or conducting usability tests, we want to meet you.

At iFactory, you will join a team of talented experts in web design, development and project management. You will work on projects for clients across a variety of industries including publishing, higher education, non-profit and healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively to translate business requirements, user goals and creative strategy into engaging experiences.
  • Observe, conduct and analyze qualitative and quantitative user research, such as focus groups, interviews and surveys.
  • Perform heuristic evaluation and task analysis.
  • Create and refine content inventories, user scenarios, personas, site maps, wireframes and other specifications.
  • Develop interactive prototypes.
  • Prepare and conduct usability tests.
  • Present findings and recommendations from user research and usability tests.
  • Work effectively with project managers to meet expectations on time and on budget.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with industry-standard software for diagramming and prototyping, such as Visio and OmniGraffle.
  • Ability to think creatively, analytically and to challenge established principles.
  • Uncompromising attention to detail.
  • Experience with Mobile and social media UX.
  • Ability to articulate and present ideas based on sound user experience and interaction design principles.
  • Loves working with designers.
  • Comfortable presenting concepts and deliverables to clients.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Superior listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team oriented, self-motivated.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Understanding of W3C and 508 accessibility guidelines.
  • Experience working on publishing, higher education or healthcare projects.
  • Ability to hand-code interactive prototypes using HTML, CSS, PHP, AJAX, or any other fashionable acronyms.
  • Experience working with JavaScript libraries, such as JQuery.

Experience and Education

  • 3+ years’ experience as an information architect (IA), user experience designer (UXD) or interaction designer (IxD) preferably in an interactive agency environment.
  • Degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Digital Media, Communication Design or related field, desired but not required.
  • Demonstrable past experience developing site maps, wireframes and other information architecture deliverables.

US: Award Winning, top-tier web and multimedia design and engineering company. We make great websites, CD-Roms and kiosks.

YOU: We need qualified sales people to assist with project lead generation.

The position is commission-based and the commissions are generous.
