11/1/2004 | Boston's iFactory Joins RDW Group to Form Largest Independent Agency in New England Providence, R.I. (November 1, 2004) - Underscoring its commitment to expansion in Boston, RDW Group, Inc. today announced that iFactory, the award-winning interactive agency that has succeeded by "forging new intersections between technology and design," has joined the RDW team and will become an integral part of the agency's new Boston operation. "The future of advertising will be directly tied to technology and the internet," said Mike Doyle, President of RDW Group, Inc., the full-service communications firm with offices in Boston, Worcester, M.A., and Providence, R.I. "Bringing iFactory into the RDW fold insures that our clients will have access to world-class talent," Doyle said. "It also complements our strategy of developing a full-service RDW presence in Boston proper." iFactory and its 30 employees will continue to operate out of offices at 368 Congress St., Boston. Employees of RDW Group's Interactive Division, headed by Dennis Franczak, will relocate from Providence to the Boston office. The new agency, combining the resources of RDW and iFactory, will be the largest independent communications agency in New England. "This is an important strategic move for us," said Alen Yen, iFactory President and Creative Director. "Joining forces with RDW Group greatly enhances our capabilities and provides us with a much stronger foundation from which we can build and enhance our client offerings. We are extremely excited to be joining the RDW team," Yen will supervise creative services in the combined group with Franczak leading account service and business development. Glenn Morgan, also a principal at iFactory, will oversee management services. RDW Group, Inc., founded in 1986, will now have 120 employees who provide a broad range of communications services to clients in health care, higher education, finance, real estate and energy, to name just several industry categories. iFactory began providing an array of interactive and design services more than 12 years ago for business-to-business and consumer clients as well as those in financial services, health care and life sciences, higher education, not-for-profit endeavors and publishing. It is one of the few interactive firms in the Northeast to prosper during the slowdown in interactive spending that has impacted the industry in recent years. |
