SEO Content Strategist

ABOUT US

We are an agency that was founded in the mid-1990s and is located in Boston, MA. We are a bunch of fun and curious people who are passionate about the missions of our clients, almost all of whom are in higher education. We’ve worked with the likes of Yale and Harvard and liberal arts schools as well as community colleges across the nation. Our mission is to sustain a diverse team of dedicated experts who create the highest caliber of interactive solutions for our clients and their users.

Most of the team (about half) is located in the Greater Boston area. After COVID-19 hit, we transitioned to a remote working model. We still get together in person as a company occasionally.

ABOUT YOU

You are someone who is driven to learn and committed to helping our clients grow their web traffic through intentional and informed SEO best practices. Since we’re a remote company, we’re looking for a self-starter who can speak up when you need a hand — and someone who can offer to pitch in when you have some extra time. We really value the culture that has sustained us for three decades, so we hope that is important to you as well — and always welcome feedback from anyone on how to improve it.

You are definitely experienced in conducting keyword research, SEO & analytics audits, and speaking to clients about SEO in general. You probably have a background in content as well as SEO, with so much overlap between them. Your writing experience may be more in marketing or more journalism or somewhere in between. Perhaps over time you have become familiar with some more of the technical parts of SEO. You may not be able to solve Core Web Vitals issues on your own, but you can at least explain them and work with developers to get to the bottom of what’s wrong — and solve the problem together.

You’re also someone who enjoys and appreciates presenting to clients. You know that above all, listening to a client is the best way to come up with the right solution that’s right for them. And you can work internally to come up with the right solution and execute it on your own or with the help of others.

Lastly, you are somebody who wants to be a part of a great team. We value each other personally as well as professionally. This means we give, and take, constructive feedback with grace (we can all get better). We value your time, your expertise, and are looking for people who want to be a part of building special solutions for our clients while also working with a good group of people.

ABOUT THE POSITION

This position’s primary focus will be aimed at executing and honing our SEO offerings. We regularly conduct keyword research, conduct site audits, as well as ongoing reporting for a few clients.
